At CVIC, we perform a cardiovascular examination before diagnostic imaging by CT or MRI.

We perform medical interviews, medical examinations, and electrocardiograms in all cases, and echocardiograms as necessary. I think this point is also a little different from a normal diagnostic imaging center.

Cardiovascular disease can change in a short period of time. In particular, if you have symptoms that you are concerned about, there is a possibility that heart disease is present and becoming more severe. In other words, I come to examine patients with the idea of making a diagnosis through physical examination before CT, MRI, and echocardiographic examinations. The more serious you are about this challenge, the longer the consultation time will be. However, there is also the effect that the pretreatment for the examination and the examination itself proceed smoothly by talking directly with the patient who came to the examination with some kind of anxiety.

Luckily, compared to regular cardiology outpatient clinics, CVIC has a limited number of appointments per day, so we have a little more time.

Of course, there are cases where the diagnosis is accurate, but there are also cases where unexpected lesions are pointed out by diagnostic imaging.

As a cardiologist, I feel very frustrated and sorry that I could not find it at the time of the examination, but at the same time, it is also a moment to reaffirm the wonders of cardiac imaging.
